Top remixed
Hear me out before you censor or delete this post!
I am tired of people with no skill getting top remixed. All of us make better "Remix and add yourself doing <Insert pointless task here>" or "Remix and add your animation/dance" Sick of it! Projects that are leaps and bounds better might get 8 views and maybe A love it, while these popular people can get thousands more views and over 100 times as many love-its! Why? Because that's how the system works. People who get onto featured meaning, they have one of the best three new projects on scratch which is hard! What if you have the fourth best then do you know what you get... NOTHING! Notice how popular people never get featured with an exception to addzero and paddle2See. Why? Because they don't actually have the skill, just the popularity. That is why I propose we do the same thing to "Top Remixed" that we did to "Top Downloaded" Trash it!

I agree. There was a GREAT (Compared to the other top remixed projects) top remixed project a year ago where you would add a minigame to the project. Since then there has only been crud on top remixed.

I don't want o create a situation or get "popular from this, I just want to make a point.
"Remixing" is supposed to be to improve other people scripts and sprites not to do random junk.
Your music tastes are bad, therefore your argument is irrelevant.

I agree. The project I just talked about did improve the scripts and sprites by adding more stuff to it. The projects now are just "Add yourself being sucked up by a black hole" or some other random thing.

It's not spam...
Some people just like remix chains.
And people like Paddle make brilliant projects! Actually, Paddle has made some AMAZING projects - and he definitely deserves the fame.
Sadly, half of the people front page only get those projects on there because they're famous. But - they may be famous because they make good projects! Anyway, we can't do anything about that.
Actually, Top Downloaded was removed for a completely different reason. So you shouldn't compare it to Top Remixed.
I do wish that Top Remixed would be removed; all it does is show the latest remix chains.
(I'm from 2008 as well.)

Don't worry, you won't get banned for saying that about top remixed, because it's really just a waste of space anyway. It was probably made as a way to show projects such as bases/engines for other projects, but in the end all that it displays are a bunch of remix chains. It was a good idea, but it didn't work, so there's no use in keeping it.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

I remember complex games getting on there... I usually download those to look at the scripts. 
But I don't remember junk getting on there.

Wasn't Top Downloaded removed because people could cheat to get on there (they make a cool picture, add a lot of dummy scripts, and put the ScriptLocker on so people will have to download it)? That's nothing related to Top Remixed!
In that case, they should just replace Top Remixed with Top Downloaded.
