Java player possible problem (scratch team)

Dear Scratch team,

I have recently made a project that uses the ([costume#] of [sprite 1]) repoter block.

I used the fact that a reporter can be dropped into the sprite name field to allow each sprite to be copied and react to it's neighbors so that only it's name and a local variable called "name" had to be changed for each sprite.

I did this: ([costume#] of [(join[(letter(1)of (name) (letter(2) of ((name)+(1))))

this meant that the sprite name would be changed according to it's own name.

This worked fine offline, insterted into a <touching[sprite1]?> block but once it was uploaded, the project dodn't respond anymore. You can see it here ( http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/sparks/956990 ) .

I was wondering wether the developers for the java player had somehow forgotten to account for the fact that reporters could be dropped into the sprite field and that was why it refused to work online or there was some other reason. I'd really like to get to the bottom of this because it really should work online.

Thanks in advanced, Sparks
