Dear all,
Many of you already know of the glitch involving two paint editors being opened - giving you a sprite that does not appear in the sprite list.
I found that this was an excellent way of hiding password from prying eyes.
HOWEVER - the sprite is only temorarily hidden. Saving, then reopening the project or uploading and downloading will cause the sprite to reappear in the sprite list.
Can anyone think of a way (using the source code) to permenantly make a sprite invisible, even when it is opened in a different copy of scratch?
many thanks for indulging once again in my novice queries,
Sparks

Its a good way, but an even better way of hiding a password, is just going, downloading Jens compiler, and covnert the program to exe, no need for making a sprite invisible.

Can you link me to the compiler?

There is a built in compiler in BYOB, i cant find the actualy external one, but i have it on my computer, ask Jens about it.

I have found that dragging a sprite into the white world and collapsing it, then expanding it again has the same effect - it's icon is lost to the sprite list... once again saving adds it again so it's not permenant

possible, it's a case of making a change to the code for that sprite that remains with that sprite during copying, uploading etc.
We currently dont have a place to upload it too, so the only loading and copying matters.
