I got Warioware DIY!

It just came out today - I got it, cuz I pre-ordered it.

Firstly, Warioware is a series, in which each game, you play by playing different sets of minigames by doing different actions. For the DS, you may have to tap different things or blow/whistle into the microphone, while for the Wii games, you may have to do different motions with the Wii remote. Very fun.

But in this version for the DS, you CREATE YOUR OWN MINIGAMES. That means, you create the idea, the graphics, the music, and the scripts! Plus, you can play 90 pre-made minigames, see how they were made, make comics and records, and upload/download/share minigames by different people!

Extremely fun! Right now I'm working on the tutorials though. Quite a lot of them.

Re: I got Warioware DIY!

Have you noticed that Warioware DIY is similar to Scratch., They both use bitmaps for graphics, they both include premade games/projects, and they both allow the user to program the games themselves.

Re: I got Warioware DIY!

I saw it at best buy today. But I only had $13 dollars with me at the time. I got home and scavenged the total w/tax, $37.10. I'm buying it as soon as I can.

Tell me the concept of some games you make. In fact, I might even make a thread for that!

Sounds fun, but I'm actually broke.

I don't know, I'm always the last person to get the games.

Well considering that its aimed towards gamers (not coders) and that each microgame lasts around 5 seconds is it any surprise that the game creator isn't that deep?

And it doesn't have to be, for the games you make.

My dads picking it up for me today!

I am home from school, but he is a teacher and he has a meeting so I have to pay him when he gets home.

The thought of the creativity and microgames that you can make, and play that are made by others is amazing.

But I heard you can only play friends games, a friendcode sharing topic is feeling more and more needed every second.

The wii game is an add on where you can only play games you coded in the DS version, right?

Yes - that was just a reference to a previous WarioWare game.
