I've beaten 7 gym leaders. Only have Clair left.
But I'm not playing right now.

I'm not playing it for a while, so I'm gonna fall behind. I'm at victory road, but I'll most likely be there for the next couple of days.
Why?

I didn't play at all yesterday. I am still at Clairs thing, and I have to go into the dragon cave. Eh, won't take to long.

I did some EV training yesterday. I also found out some tricks to the Goldenrod Game Corner. (In the american version they took out the slots but now there's a fun logic card game there)

It's actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I might make a guide of it soon.

Okay, but I think it's mostly luck.

It has nothing to do with luck. It's all logic.

I've been EV training a Curse TTar, surprisingly enough I only had to breed once for it to appear in HG.

Guide to the New Goldenrod Game Corner: Voltorb Flip
By Floatingmagictree
_________________________________________________________________________________
The first thing I heard from a lot of people when HeartGold was released were things like "Why did they take out the slots" and "How do I play this stupid game! It's so hard!".
Well today, I'm going to teach you that Voltorb Flip is pure logic, not just randomly flipping over cards.
picture from video by Melkorto of Youtube.
This is a basic table of Voltorb flip level 1. As you can see, there are five rows and five columns. Along the ends of each column and each ray, there is a board that says the amount of Voltorbs and the total numbers in the row. The objective is to flip over all the x2 and x3 cards. There are also x1 cards, but they don't need to be flipped over.
Now in this picture, I've given each card a letter and number coordinate for your convenience.
Take a look at row 4. All the way on the side, there is a place where it says two numbers. We'll be calling that the Number Legend. Each row and column has that. The top number, which is a 5 in row 4, says the total of the number cards in that row. The bottom number with the voltorb next to it says how many voltorbs are in that row.
Every time you start, always look for zeros. It's a good strategy. 0 voltorbs means you can go through the entire row or column without worrying about anything.
That's part 1. Now the rest is process of elimination and deductive thinking.
Look at the number legend for each row/column. Take a close look at rows 1 and 3, and columns D and B. What do these all have in common?
If you add the total and number of voltorbs, they all equal five. If they equal five, then that whole row is comprised of 1s and Voltorbs. And seeing how you don't need to flip over any 1's to win the game, you can just mark that entire row with the memo.
And look at that. Using these methods, we've already eliminated 19 of the 25 cards.
The rest of the game is deductive thinking. AKA making educated guesses. Look at column C. The three crossed out cards are either the one bomb in that column, or 1's.
So let's think. There are five cards, minus one voltorb card. So four cards. And there has to be at least two 1s, because there are three crossed out. So there could be a 1, 1, 2, and 2 card, or a 1, 1, 1, and 3 card. The choice is yours. Do this for the rest of the remaining rows and columns.
Well that's it, and I hope you've learned that Voltorb Flip is not a guessing game, but pure logic. I also find it better than the slots, because I get more coins there than I ever would have in the original Game Corners.
