Gods Quest 3: Blood and Betrayal
Just go here to play it: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/demosthenes/955121
Here is a copy of the Project Announcement for Gods Quest 3, stay tuned for the full version.
Demosthenes' Scratch Project Announcement
Gods Quest 3:
As many of you may know, I've made a successful series of platformers, the Gods Quest series.
For the last several months I have been working on the final, one-of-a-kind, installment in this series, Gods Quest 3: Blood and Betrayal!
This epic platformer, with a greater scope than any other scratch project attempted, will redefine platformers and will surely be my best project if not one of the greatest projects ever on Scratch.
It has a completely unprecedented list of features.
It includes:
A fully flushed out story line, featuring blood, betrayal, and a cliff hanger ending
4 difficulties
4 stats
5 spells
28 enemies scattered across 7 levels, 3 bosses, music and sound effects, experience points, various items and boosts, upside-down reverse levels, level codes so you won't lose all of your progress, and much, much more!
Gods Quest 3 features more levels, more enemies, more level features, more items, more bosses, more strategy, better coding, smarter enemies and bosses, fewer glitches, and more RPG elements than any other comparable platformer.
Progress is going well and I expect the game to be done in not many more months.
Once Gods Quest 3 is released you will be dazzled by its story, gameplay, sounds, and smooth scripting.
Most games on this epic scope suffer from huge amounts of lag, yet, after hours of fine tuning my code, I have managed to make this project run without lag online and offline
So stay tuned for this game, look in the Show and Tell forum in a couple of months to see if it's been released and when it has make use of the level code featured in this video of level 1:
http://www.screentoaster.com/watch/stUEpWS0dORFtZSVpYWlhaV1dU/gq3_pa
And once GQ3:B&B is out, look for the flash adaption coded in Action Script by archmage.
And don't worry if you have trouble with Scratch games, because of the 4 dynamic difficulties and an advanced strategy guide written by me, complete with demonstration videos you will have no problem getting good enough to beat Gods Quest 3.

What can I do to help?
Provide any ideas you have for the game
Help provide tilesets
IndentTilesets are always in short supply, if you see any of them, and backgrounds for levels are also needed so keep on a look out
Get back to the work I know you have beta-testers >:-)
What if I can't wait and want to play it sooner than the release date?
I am still accepting more beta-testers (to a maximum of 12), sign-up on this thread:

I always ha'te it when people say something like that, even when it could be true.
Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine.
Anyways, the game does look good though!

I can't wait until the full thing is out

It looks alright. If I were you, I would re-do the HUD, its a bit um...gross. Aside from that, graphically it looks okay, and gameplay like aight. I just think that you could spend some more time on the menus, and such.

You certainly know how to advertise your projects!
Also... If you haven't read my reply on your recent comment, mediafire isn't letting me download it... when I say "Start Download" it just redirects to the page... I think I'd have to download Mediafire- but they want money for it, and I don't want to do that. The weird part is that last time, mediafire let me download the first beta-test, even though I haven't signed up.
I guess you'll have to try e-mail again...

What don't you like about the HUD?

I'll try sending an email once I get my comp back (I'm using a different one than the one GQ3 is on).

Here is some of my feedback
Things to improve:
-Better (preferably original) graphics
Things I would change if I were making it
-Get rid of the cumbersome text-skill system and replace it with buttons.
-Add an animation/cutscene to accompany the screens with lots of text about the story
-Make it so that you have to fight some enemies to progress in a level
-Make the RPG elements stand out more (its like a platformer with RPGish enemies to avoid right now)

I will attempt to do some, if not all of those things.
And yes I definitely need new graphics
What other RPG elements would you have me include?

Things like XP progress bars and XP for fighting monsters (dunno if you already have this). Some shops for buying supplies to spend earned cash on.
How I would make this is make the player come to an area where they have to kill x amount of monsters to proceed and after they kill x monsters they can go or stay to kill remaining monsters for bonus XP. Also, there should be different monsters that behave differently.
Some of these ideas I got from this game http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/416507
There are some parts from that game I think would fit nicely into yours

It seems unfitting. Perhaps you should put a simple bar at the top of the screen, to make it look more professional. Also maybe make the check boxes smaller and less in the way.
Also, whats with, "Not many more months" after your several months of already working on it? Regardless of how much content is laid on top of a simple platformer, averagely this looks like it would be done in about three weeks at the most. Well, I guess I'll see' what's taking this 'greatest game on scratch' to release when it is released.

Probably my horrible work ethic and lack of resources (tilesets and backgrounds etc . . .) that is slowing up progress >.> but hopefully it will be good once completed.

Yeah, I do agree with Eafu, this game is a pretty basic platformer with some RPG elements that don't effect much. When I make the flash version I don't intend for it to be a perfect clone but built upon it with enhancements.
I want to make some elements from these games and try to blend them together
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/429765 //cyclical boss battles and good presentation
http://armorgames.com/play/2779/mario-combat //Good platforming and fighting
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/416507 //Good skills stats and leveling features
You probably won't be able to make it as good as a flash game but if you try your best with it it should be just fine for a scratch game. You can't really do too much with scratch if you expect your projects to run properly.

Okay I'll start working on all of those things.
Do people prefer this HUD?
Offline
I think it looks kind of unpolished (understandable if you did it fast) and it takes up too much space at the top.
I think something like the stats displays in this game http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/429765 would be good. Also, just display the level codes at the start of new levels.

lol, you really like Castle Crashers, don't you?
P.S. Darn it! I just turned that game off! D:<

Not that much really, I just think that game has a nice presentation.
