Stretch: Width and Height

Many users have used the resurected "stretch" block in their projects. I am one of those people. The problem is, I also need to change the height of a sprite, NOT just the width.

I once saw a project with the Scratch Cat in it. You could stretch him (both width and height) rotate him, etc.

I know there is some way you can use the size block and stretch block to change height, using some ratio between them. Does anyone know what it is?

Re: Stretch: Width and Height

That's such a brilliant idea, I just messed up spelling brilliant three (now four) times!
I have used it so much! Thank you!

Re: Stretch: Width and Height

It's good, but... I'm still having trouble. I am making an Excel type program, and I need to have a way to stretch the columns and rows. The columns work fine, but the rows' spacing is messed up so they overlap... I'm not really sure how to fix this part, though your size and stretch ratio works well.

Re: Stretch: Width and Height

I think this is a good idea! your use is different than mine, but it would be useful to many scratchers!  My use is for 3-D. If you look at MS Flight Simulator X, the planes are actually in 3-view form. this is how their 3-d works.

Re: Stretch: Width and Height

I think you are recalling my stretchy kitty project?
It can be found here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/billyedward/296183.
It basically works by having the size set to the vertical stretch, and the stretch set to the horizontal over the vertical.

See the project to see it in action.

Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for! I'll have to favorite it.  big_smile
