Touching edge is already possible.
I don't think copy and delete would be added because scratch is for beginners, and it could confuse them...
EDIT: wow this has become popular, so FIRST POST! !!!

No.4 is an awesome idea! I really hope they add something like that in 2.0

I'm hoping to have the normal color block along with a RGB color value color sensor, for example:
If touching color R: (<{ }>) G:(<{ }>) B:(<{ }>)
And along with that:
<{ any }>

Yeah, that would be cool too...

How about a different Scratch, Scratch Ex? It would have advanced features like:
[Redraw] - Would redraw all pen movements
[Create costume of [stage picture]]
[recorded pen]
[costume [] of [Sprite1]]
[current sprite] (including effects)
(Effect [ghost])
[Show list [list]] (This and the hide would be in normal Scratch.)
[Hide list [list]]
[Name script _____]
[Stop script [script1]]
[Host free mesh] - Hosts mesh
[Join IP [IPadress] - Joins mesh on this adress.
[Host password mesh _______] - Hosts mesh, but joiners need the password.
(Get variable [x] from mesh) - Collects a variable from mesh
[Broadcast to mesh [hi]] - Only broadcasts to mesh, not you.
[Host free server [Sep's World]] - Like mesh, but multiple people can join.
[Join server [Sep's World] as [Wunp131]] - Joins the server listed as name listed.
[Host password server [Admin City]] - Hosts server with password.
(Get variable [Gold] from user [Wunp131]] - Gets variable from listed user.
[Host] - Host too!
[Broadcast to server [Welcome to Sep's World!] - Broadcasts to server, not you.

I was thinking about that for a long time, a more advanced version of scratch.
Brillant ideas, maybe make a few mockups?

I'll make mockups when I come back from China.

isn't that in 2 weeks time?

We as a community could build our own Scratch advanced application using the source code.
I tried making one, but need more source code hacks.

Let's name it Roar! (Lions are a level up from cats, Roar is a level up from Scratch!)

Cool!
Editing source code in Scratch Source Code 1.4 right now!
Ok, I have:
flip
show/hide list
say nothing
so far.
Trying to get a "previous costume" block to work.

This sounds like a great idea - an advanced version of scratch designed by the community to support the community's need! It would be great if we could get a good scratch hacker like Billyedward on board and I'm sure the Scratch team will be happy to help out. especially seeing as scratch 2.0 is due out in over half a year, it'll be a great pasttime. if people can make useful blocks in their version of scratch, then post the changes here as code, everyone involved can update too and we'll end up with several copies of "Roar" that can be distributed when it is looking good. I'd love to help out with this project as I'm all for community collaberation and this is taking it all to the next level. Here's to a sucessful and fun time working on this

I like Panther...
I could add in these blocks:
Point to _ _
Show dialog box with ____
Clone
Delete
Showing?
If <> then [] else[]
and
If <> then <> else <>
Offline
So...
We need a site first.
Does anyone have a site where we could start Panther development?
And should we make a Panther development forum?
Offline
Gir, you're in charge of block development.
We need someone for art!
fg or MathWizz, could you be in charge of mesh and server blocks?
Offline
We need one more person to be recruiter, if that's possible.
I think we're going to need a separate development post for Panther, and not just this old idea post.
Offline
If you want it I can post the code for,
distance to _ _
distance from _ _ to _ _
Also I now how to change the color of the blocks, it is permanent but it is for categories not individual blocks.

Nice to see things developing... I could provide the site, If I can somehow get the password to people who want to help with this so they can add and moderate the site, that would be great... sugesstions please. Password can't be posted here for obvious reasons. I'll start up the site and post a link here... just to see what we want.
I'm thinking that many of the blocks could be added that are dotted around the forums, such as hide/show lists, <if < > then [ ] else[ ]>, [open web browser with URL[http://]] and the AWESOME Date/time blocks. We should work on getting blocks that cannot be replicated using several other blocks added first, as things such as "previous costume" would just take up space - that's probably why it's not in regular Scratch. Also, I am aware that the colours of the block classes can be permenantly changed but surely that would simply confuse people? better to keep the colours the same as the ones everyone is used to.
