People are tagging projects "Scratch is for games." This is annoying.
True, Scratch is for games...
...but it's also for animation.
So...would you PLEASE stop saying that Scratch is for games only? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, I beg of you, PLEASE...stop lying!

Ah, but you can still program to do animation! Really, you can!
60 second rule....

I'm fine people uploading animations, but a sprite that just flips through frames is pushing it. They should have some work put behind them (but to be fair, this still applies to games). What really bugs me is when people upload just an image and nothing else or maybe make some music play in the background.

Scratch is definitely not just for games! Just look at my projects- not a single one is a game. Games, animations, math projects, OS's, slide shows, etc., are all programming, even if some may require harder programming than others. Here is a summary of what Scratch is "for," according to the "about" page: "Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web. As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively." So there you go...
I think it is appropriate to flag tags that say that. After all, they are offensive,

I hate it how people always say that Scratch is for games. Scratch is for programming. If your project has programming, it's fine.
Why is it no one realizes that?

Oh, so the term "program" only applies to games? Of course not.
Animations require programming... they're just as fine as games.

Other project types are good too.

Look at the base tags when you share your projects. That is what scratch is for.

It's annoying when people put a huge [copywrited] music on some mediocre image. Earlier someone had 150 KBs of a 160 KB project just a logo that flashed for one second, and they swore at me when I suggested they remove it. Why post *anything* if no one will like it, and you can't take critique?

Scratch isn't for just animation,
but Scratch isn't just for games, either!

Scratch wasn't created just to do a specific group of projects... it's silly to just assume that you should only make a few types of projects. Make anything that you can, and it's fine.

and music.
That pretty covers everything Os' are simulations

Well - Importing music is fine, aslong as you credit the artist(s). You could have said that in a bit nicer of a way too...It's your music that YOU bought, so it's fine to put them in your project. Exporting them is fine to, because though the files are on your computer - There are only accesible through Scratch. So it's fine.

Off topic: No offence but it seems like alot of people have problems with you being rude to them...I'm going to believe they aren't trying to get people to turn against you, but I'd like to hear what you did - And if was really that bad. If they don't like you, that's fine for me - It's if they are trying to make others hate you that's a problem.

Scratch is a programming language.
People should be able to use it for what they wish.
So maybe someone doesn't like games, or animations, but that doesn't mean that someone else might.
If you don't have a nice tag to add, don't add one.

I don't understand why you're saying that... Scratch wasn't created just to do some specific thing - you're supposed to make whatever you want with it.

When was that rule ever created?
They just put those in the 'list of tags' because they were common genres for projects - why should you only be able to create those specific types of projects?

Yeah but think of other stuff that doesn't cover these. Hard isn't it? They cover pretty much everything on this site. Maybe Operating systems but that's probably simulator.
