Well, the title explains a bit, but I feel that a little more explaining might be required.
I'm hosting the first annual Scratch World Cup 2010.
I know that I'm not a seasoned Scratcher. Deal with it.
This is how it works. Say you have an OS. You can talk to a few other Scratchers and form a team. Each team submits 2 OSs. I will run the OS through several tests, and grade them. The best score for an OS will be 100/100. So the maximum each team can get is 200 points.
Criteria:
-Graphics- Can we see pixels in icons or the background? Because graphics are a very big part of the Graphic User Interface of all modern OSs, 20/20 is the best score you can get.
-Applications- What kinds of apps do you have? How do they behave? Do they fo what they should do without glitching up? This is another big part of any OS. Perfect score for applications is 20/20.
Ok. That's all I have so far. Any suggestions? I'll put this in the misc. category soon for
people to start planning and working on thier OS. You will be able to start submitting in
mid-April and the judging will be finished in late may, at the latest.
Start giving me ideas!!!
I don't want anymore negetive critisism about this. If you want something changed, say why.

-Script durability- I will pull apart 10 important scripts in your OS. If it still functions correctly, awesome! 10/10 for script durability.
FAIL
I don't think it is possible, unless you double all of your scripts.

And there's not even a point to it. Like, seriously, this is a joke dude. Give it up.
I suggest some one else host this contest, I mean, come one.

I will submit TechMaster OS once 2.0 is out, which should be in a week.

I'll take it off the list, because of all the criticism

Thank you, now people have much more of a chance.

Now that I think about it, script durability is stupid.
Originally, I was thinking that people could use 2 methods to have thier OS work: lists/broadcasts, broadcasts/variables, etc...
08jackt, you could be a little nicer then just saying 'FAIL' .

Um... this is kind of strange, like graphics should get x/2 points and apps should get about x/5 points and the rest should go to if it actually can handle errors, if it's efficient and has structure, or is just a bunch of windows tied together with random calls...

Try explaining a little more simply... I don't really understand what you're saying.
