Lego WEDO: what do i need?

Just started to learn scratch and already i want more!

I saw Scratch supports lego WeDo but it's not clear what exactly you need:

1) Lego WeDo 9850 construction kit (contains the USB hub and sensors etc)

But there is a seperate CDrom available with all the WeDo software (and probably the drivers). Do I need that? It's really expensive...

Hey sebastius, you don't need more software. Actually, if you want to program WeDo, I think you do, but anyways.

Connect WeDo to the USB through the hub, and go to the "Edit" menu on the top. Select "Show Motor Blocks" and go to the "MOTION" section.

You should see some motor blocks! Try them out.
