Whenever I make a game, it only gets about 10 views in a week, maybe 40 with advertising. I've seen quite a few people who aren't famous (Which I slightly am) get top viewed with no advertising, and sometimes the game isn't even good. What's up with that?

And sometimes it isn't even a game. It's a load of rubbish.
*darts look at LucarioAura*

Social status.
btw, famous in the forums =/= famous in other parts of the Scratch website. There are users who are famous in the projects section for art and stuff who haven't even been on the forums.

I don't get how you're not getting a lot of views either...
Wait, I know.
We're all too lazy to click on your name to see your projects.

I know what you mean. I have never got top viewed. The closest I've gotten is a remix of lucarioaura's top viewed banana project. It now has 96 views. It's been less than a week.

I've only got 70 views on my most viewed game, and only because of the scratch design thing. Idk, I guess non forumers have to find you.
Well lots of people have found me, and gotten over 100 views on some projects, but that's months after I upload it, and I get at least 1 comment a day on a project that I uploaded over 8 months ago.

And its here too. Extreme little views.
Take 6 MOUNTHS (yes, mounths, not days or weeks...) to make a project.
in two weeks, i have less than 20 views.

@RHY: Hey, don't say that to other people, because a lot of times, your projects make it to the front page and they are useless.
What. Every single project of RHY's is awesone, and EXTREMELY advance. Far from useless....

@adriangl: Hey, don't say that to people, because a lot of times, their projects make it to the front page and are a lot more useful than all the other projects on the front page.
By your logic, then I suppose every project on scratch is useless.

Well I wouldn't say that they are that "advanced" (maybe by scratch standards but absolutely not from real programming standards) but they are usually better than most of the stuff on the frontpage. But the downside to this is that even his useless projects will get frontpage, like the button presser project he made. I've had this happen to me when I was on the frontpage a lot. I would sometimes make a test and having to delete it because it got frontpage.

That guy was so lucky. The server freezed again. So that OS "creature" was stuck on the frontpage(on newest projects) and it took 14 hours to reach top viewed.
That thing didn't even deserve it. I made better stuff!
But he was lucky, and it'll be off the front page soon.

Yeah - I didn't mean for the button test to get on the front page.
Adriangl, I bet you can't find an example other than that - because all of my code is useful in making games if one wants to use it and understands how it works.

How do you know the person isn't advertising outside the Scratch website?

Well I can think of 2 other forums to post them on, but any others people would think I'm weird.

*Goes up to a random stranger*
"HEY YOU GO TO THIS WEBSITE AND LOOK AT MY PROJECT"
*Gives the guy a piece of paper with the link scribbled on it*
I fail to see how that would work in practice

If you're using multiple forums that don't seem to be related to Scratch, the best way to try and generate advertising is through a pretty signature.

Well I'm not good at pretty signatures
So I guess I'll have to get someone to make them for me.

OOH! OOH! OOH!
Pick me! Pick me!
Seriously, I'm bored, so I'll happily make you a pretty signature. Any specifics on colour, style, etc?

How about green with white stripes with red text with "My Stuff" on it? If that's too exact (I doubt it
) then just do whatever.

Do you want "BWOG" written on it, too?
What about sizes
the maximum is 150x500 - my sig is 100x500, which is what I normally use for signatures. Any specifics on size at all, tell me
