Hello,
when I code (especially when doing some conditional logic),
I have to switch between Controll, Operators, Sensing and Variables too often and it quite disturbs -- its harder to concentrate on what I want to do...
I'd like to have a Briefcase palette -- where I'd put my most often used blocks in one place, so I can take any of them quickly. With this I could more bravely promote Scratch for algorithm building in school curriculum -- as then it would be really more comfortable than typing (even for complex expressions...)...
I could do it on program area -- but it takes up the area -- so less is left for program itself and for each sprite I'd need to repeat them (not a good way...)
How to add/remove to favourites?
- rightclick mouse on a block, and popup would propose "add to/remove from favourites". Now popup proposes just "help"
- or when You are in some pallete, if You drag block on "Favourites" pallete name, they are "added".
- There could be recycle bin in a corner, and one could drag block on it to remove..
- Also would be nice to be able to drag from program area, And even join blocks to "code snippets"
---
Well, some conditions should be looked after for variable pallete blocks.
---
Or could Scratch have at least "hotkeys" possibility like I proposed in http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=130119#p130119
ps.: the idea was earlier described here
http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=332693#p332693
but according to nettiquete it's best to have one thread for each topic, so I put it here now

I like the idea!
Or maybe you could swap to a different block category by pressing a key - ie. pressing m would open up the motion block pallete.

This idea is wonderful!
Maybe also there could be some sort of history thing that has your most used blocks in it.

I think the best way to transfer blocks is to drag them from the palette to the "Briefcase" section on the header.
I also like Dazachi's idea of most used blocks, or recently used blocks.
Or, it could be recently deleted blocks, because that's more useful. Maybe there could be sub-palettes?

This is a great idea! .: I Support!!! :.
This would be so useful, I'm fed up of having to make the same blocks over, and over, and over again
I hope a scratch team member see's this

I'd be great if you could store entire scripts there too.
