Use iso-codes for lists of countries, languages etc.

Hi everyone  smile

I'm translating the Scratch files on Pootle, currently working on the Scratch website strings.

I strongly suggest you use the iso-codes package to prefill any list of countries, languages etc. for a website or piece of software. You can prefill in a very large number of languages. (The Scratch website file has a very long list of countries.)

Using iso-codes prevents duplication in translation work. It also establishes standard translations for those items, to avoid confusion for users.

The iso-codes package comes with any Linux or UNIX system.

Thanks for all your efforts on Scratch!
