Maybe not 'exactly' (I didn't use the word 'exact' like that, I just meant that I was correct and you were wrong), and maybe not by pixels, but still generally, it's about height, and width.I'm sorry to say this, Lucario, but RHY is 100% right. The actual dimensions of your robot matter little, as long as it has an area roughly the same. I am NOT saying that a robot that is 1x4000ish pixels is a reasonable competitor to a square one with the same area, but the point is: an elliptical robot that is 68x73 is harder to hit than a rectangular one, completely by virtue of the fact that there's simply less of it!
I'm sorry to say this, nXIII, but you're wrong, about the dimensions mattering very little and the area being roughly the same. NEVER - even once, on this thread, did demosthenes say ANYTHING - and I mean ANYTHING, about the area of the robot mattering. All demosthenes specified was that it HAD to be 68x73. THOSE ARE THE RULES - AND YOU CAN'T GO AGAINST THEM.
I'm sorry to say this, Lucario, but you're wrong. Demosthenes DID NOT SAY that the dimensions had to be 68x73 anywhere on this thread. If Demosthenes says that area does not matter, I might not compete at all
! Clearly, Demosthenes didn't realize that area DOES matter, more so than dimensions. (Which do matter, still)

Sorry - I meant to say "ALL demosthenes specified was that it HAD to be AT LEAST 68x73". WHICH IS TRUE. Demosthenes didn't necessarily say that area does not matter. But Demosthenes didn't necessarily say that area mattered. If that makes you not compete, than I don't care lawl! Dimensions DOES matter more. What about a hollow figure, in which there's just an outline? ZOMG THAT JUST GAVE ME AN IDEA!!! A SPRITE, in which there is ONLY A 1PX BORDER, AND NOTHING ELSE! AND...AND.... THEN WHEN A MISSILE TRIES TO HIT THE SPRITE, IT WILL ACCIDENTALLY, DUE TO LAG, GO THROUGH IT, AND IT WILL BE STUCK IN THE CENTER TRYING TO HIT NOTHING XD

@Demosthenes: I suggest that the deadline should be pushed forward for a few more days, because there are still many questions that have to be answered, in which if they are not answered, things could happen that are unfair. For example, if you don't put a max size to bullets, it could be hitting the opponent every frame and unfairly winning!

Does that mean your robot is a rectangle I guess? Does that mean it's hollow? You're just giving a very vague description.... which I don't happen to actually care about. Post a picture of it - oh wait, I think you already posted it. It was that weird super shiny one. Now that I re-saw your robot, your robot doesn't have 4 black pixels at the four corners. And there aren't any corners! It's like.... smooth!

No, I mean I'm MAKING my robot EXCLUSIVELY four black pixels in the four corners of the dimensions.

Hello, I stmbled upon this. I have a few questions to ask: first, when is the competition project going to be released. Second, why, demosthenes, are you building your own bot? You are hosting the competition, right? Third, is BYOB (Build Your Own Block) allowed? Finally, are you going to use Mesh to allow the others view the competition?

He also said it had to be convex, otherwise I woulda pwned you all.

I have said many times, it must be filled.
I hoped to avoid confrontations about area because it makes everything more complicated.
[b]Now on robots must fill a 63x78 area at the center of the sprite, it can have anything else but it must have at least that.

Competition started about a week and a half ago. I don't know why demosthenes is building a robot... I don't think BYOB is allowed. And probably no mesh, but possible it will be recorded. But there's no confirmation on that.

I'm not saying that mine ever was not going to be filled, but you never said it had to be filled. So don't say you said it many times...
Also, I'm 99% sure you mean 68x73, I hope, because thats what it was the entire time, and it's not fair that you're changing it...
And also I still think it's unfair that we have to have such LARGE robots. I thought you wanted us to truly use our scripting skills and challenge us to see who could make the best dodging robot, but you're not really showing it, if we have to have big robots...
Can I have a robot, which is exactly the dimensions you required (68x73), and is a exact triangle though (acute, isosceles), so it has about half of the area of a full square? Like maybe, a minimum area of 2000 pixels.... idk.

Demosthenes - please give us more time. There's many arguments, and depending on whether you change the rules to say yes or no to them, there may be more possibilities for us, or possibly you may disqualify us for doing things that are not against the rules...
