You shouldn't have to block the website just because there are some violent projects. What you should do is use the "Flag as inappropriate" link to flag those projects, then the scratch team can take care of it.
I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Hey loofah66, there has been a discussion about violence on Scratch Projects before and how the Scratch Team deals approaches in dealing with them (see the thread Violent Scratch Programs...). You can redirect any inquiries you may have there.
