Violence on Scratch

I am a teacher and I have been going through some hardships with my students going on violent projects. Should I just ban the website or let them do these things?

Re: Violence on Scratch

You shouldn't have to block the website just because there are some violent projects. What you should do is use the "Flag as inappropriate" link to flag those projects, then the scratch team can take care of it.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: Violence on Scratch

This has been posted before. See the sticky, "Violent prgrams with blood and human violence," in All About Scratch.

Re: Violence on Scratch

Hey loofah66, there has been a discussion about violence on Scratch Projects before and how the Scratch Team deals approaches in dealing with them (see the thread Violent Scratch Programs...). You can redirect any inquiries you may have there.  smile
