If you just closed it without saving, then it is gone. You'll have to have saved the image to keep it.

This is what's known as a backdoor.
These are intentionally programmed into software in order to help the developers modify it later.
These options are actually part of the shift+extras menu in 1.0.
I wouldn't count on this being available in 1.5, though, since it is now too publicised. The point of back doors are that they let the developers at the code, but remain unknown to the casual user.

No no no...
Not all casual users unknow it, because I know it as an casual user.
Anway, here are stuff SD (Scratch Developers) should change:
2. Count it!
3. No no no... see the top comment (upper than 1).
Done. There is no 1 because it is OK.

Yes, you are a casual user, however you are not meant to know it.
That is my point; it is all over the scratch news, now.
This means that most people know about it, now, and therefore the scratch team will remove this backdoor from future versions of scratch.

I really don't understand what you mean to say in 2 and 3...

Yeah... now, though, 2.0 will be in flash, where this sort of code editing is impossible.
You will be able to edit flash scratch, though, using a flash decompiler.
