I have a 118 mb. file I want to upload. How long will this take? I waited 10 min. before stopping it.

It's a stop animation

The limit on Scratch is 10mb.
To help reduce the file size, go to:

118 MB?! There's a 10 MB limit, so you'll need to cut the filesize down a lot.
Like illusionist said, you'll want to compress the images. If you have any sounds you should compress those as well. Also, try to remove any extra frames you don't really need.
Good luck!

I shall try to compress...
It's the music video for drops of Jupiter. It has sound and pictures. It does look like it's actually a video and not stop animation. I wanted to test it out on the website to see if video would be possible on the web. I was hoping to make a guitar hero with this playing behind the chords... 10 mb. Might be a little small.
p.s. At the moment I have the first 50 seconds done and there are 500 frames. It's a 3 min. or something video, so maybe 300mb. by the end... When I highlight all the pictures on my CPU it says the are less than 1mb. The scratch project is 100mb. Hopefully compressing will help

well i know how you feel the compressing on this big a project doesnt work. on my huge project. ok lets say if you have a sprite that has more than one green flag start script combine them it will take down the space. if you have more than 1 forever block try combining them together. if this doesnt work, the most worst part of all when you compress your images type 10. the images look horrible try uploading it, if that doesnt work than you know what i had to do. i had to take out all of my music. and that allowed me to share it. sorry about this man it sucks i know the size limit needs to be raised to like 10 gigs rather than 10 mb.
check out my stuff ~ If You Really Thought i would think what you thought, than you must think i think what you thought i would think at the time you thought i was thinking what you thoughtOffline

10 GB? A 1 GB file would crash Scratch (since 10 MB projects usually lag like heck in it).
Not to mention, if everyone uploads huge files the server will be full in no time. The 10 MB limit is fine IMO.

i don't think its possible to create a ten gig project. even if your computer had enough processing power, it would lag out the editor so much it would take a whole day just to load it.
and anyway, if you have a 100 meg project, there is probably a better place to share it than scratch. scratch is simply not designed to run stop motion animations.
