Hey guys when you play the Horde Survival, you should download it as it will lag on the online version. Also, it's way more fun killing zombies when you're doing it in full screen  wink

Yes, but I can't do anything about that. Anyways...

Sea Urchin Launch:8.5/10. The idea and originality were pretty good, and the graphics were easily the best aspect of it. But in my opinion it was just a little bit slow, so graphics alone can't get this a perfect score. I couldn't play it until downloaded, but that doesn't take off any points because my computer just sucks. Overall it was very good, but maybe a little lacking. Anyways, that's just my opinion.

Pocket God: 9.5/10. Very original. I've never seen any game like it. Graphics weren't nearly as good as Sea Urchin Launch, but there were so many things to do and it kept me entertained for a very long time. Also, the physics were pretty good, but Sea Urchin Launcher's was a bit better.
However since there were things to do that weren't on the menu like tree tipping, tidal waves, and castaway knocking, that bumped your score up just past RHY's. Anyway, good job to both. Mininut will be the deciding factor (unless jeffery decides to show up. This is why I said jusges had to be commited, but it's okay as long as people don't mind only getting judged by two peoples.

Get your non-programming butt out of here. A drawing can't be considered a "best project."

Re: Your best projects CONTEST!!! #2

i didn't really like ether of the programs. sorry.

horde survival: it was an OK game, i guess. i like that it came with a tutorial though. i just don't really like things involving zombies. a 5-6. I'm sorry.

paint it: it was good, better than the other paint games I've seen. but what does the shade button do? I'd say it was a 6-7. nice work.

Re: Your best projects CONTEST!!! #2

I'm definitely going to have to agree with mininut here.

Horde Survival: 4.8/10. The fact that it was only a tutorial didn't really help it out.

Paint It: 7/10. Very creative, I liked all the things you could do with it, but it could use more features and got boring quickly.

The next contestants are... uh... darn, I need to find two more projects. I'm off to search the project list! Alright, got it. Next Round:

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/TheSaint/343029] this by The Saint versus this by The-Whiz.
Ooh, shocking! I think. I'm not quite sure though.

Firstly, it wasn't only a tutorial. Did you even play the game? Just telling me it scored "4.8" is not useful to me at all. Where did it lose points?

Was it the graphics? Because those were very slick, with the zombies containing 27 frames of animation, 3D blood splats, explosions of light appearing when a powerup spawns, muzzle flash and bullet contrails exiting the guns, and a very user friendly interface.

Was it the sound? Because the sound effects used were very high quality and all custom. It even included quotes of the player shouting things out. The music itself can't have been a problem as that only enhances the experiance.

Was it the performance? Because I integrated the first ever timer based system to ensure that no matter what the FPS, everything will run smoothly. I also optimised every single script to make it as efficient as possible to make the game as smooth as possible.

Was it the gameplay? The controls are very simple and anyone can get used to it. Arrow keys to move, left mouse button to shoot. The gameplay itself is a combination of different arcade style games. It's not only an endless surival, but the powerups add the little twist to the gameplay which can help you survive that little bit longer. Hell, it even has a pause feature if you press P!

I don't understand how this game could lose paints, and especially lose (no offence) to that simple paint game which is like so many others on this website.

The gameplay was fine, but it was slow except when downloaded.

The music was, in my opinion, not very good. The sound effects were fine, but could be much better, and these details really slow up the game.

The graphics were pretty slick, I'll give you that, and it came with a tutorial

But, the blood splatters, explosions, and violence didn't appeal to me at all. Plus, Scratch is meant for people of all ages, and if something like that was shown to four year-olds, it wouldn't be too good.

But the thing you need to understand about this is that it was an OPINION. If some guy thinks that pluto is better than mars, it doesn't make it better, but that's his opinion. Same the other way around. You can take into everything about pluto and mars, show them the facts, and you'd still get the same results. So, no, I'm not insulting your game, and it was very decent, but that's just my opinion. The end.

Re: Your best projects CONTEST!!! #2

Although I'm not a judge, I'm still going to express my opinion.
Horde Survival was a better project than Paint It!

The programming was much better for one.
The gameplay was good.
The sound effects and quotes were cool.
It had great graphics.

Even though it has a lot of violence, It's a good project, and people aren't supposed to be subjective while judging. Just because you didn't like what the game was about shouldn't mean that you rate it a lower score.

It's the actual game that counts.

Just expressing my opinion.

Re: Your best projects CONTEST!!! #2

ok, so, um, never mind. i'll just give my opinion.

wii light pong: it was a good game but it was kind of hard to control on a laptop (and it doesn't help that i have bad fine moter skills). it was a good game otherwise. nice work getting it from videogame format to computer format. you should become a game programmer. i'd say it was a 7-8. great game

stickman animation: it was very good. i like the origanality of it.  it was fun to make it do interesting things the only problem  was it was hard to move the loint in the lower abdomen. i'd say it was a 6-7. nice work

Stickman Animator:9/10. I just loved every aspect of it, but it could have more features. The way you could stretch him nito crazy positions made me lol.

I'll play wii light pong now.

Wii Light Pong:8.5/10 Surprisingly good actually. I liked the flashy colors and everything. These are some of the better projects I'm seeing in this competition (oh no, an angry mob is coming at me with pitchforks!, although most of them were very good. The physics could have been much better though, and there were too many glitches.
