Glitch with importing compressed music!!!

I have compressed a song down to 1.6 MB, and Mac OS X says that it's exactly that size.

I import it into Scratch, and it says that it's 10 MB. This is annoying. I hit save and check the current file size: it's over 10MB, when before, it was around 3 MB.

has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Glitch with importing compressed music!!!

Hey iCode-747, when a sound file is imported into Scratch, the file is converted into another format which uses up more file space. You will have to compress the sound in Scratch in order to reduce the file size of the sound in the project.  smile

Assuming you're using Scratch 1.4, the 'Compress Sounds' option can be found under 'Edit' in the menu bar.  smile
