I don't know if this topic has been discussed already, but I really think this would be worth putting in scratch 2.0.
My idea is that on your scratch page, you have a little section where you can write about yourself. It would look something like this:
You could add links, update what projects you are working on, the possibilities are endless!
And maybe something extra:
This isn't neccessary, but it would be cool

I see why people would want this but the "about me" section could cause problems.

Isn't this is basically what signatures are for?

I guess, but you could have an option to flag it if it's rude

First off - awesome mockup images! Making an image to show your idea is super helpful. It makes it easy for everyone to see and think about your new idea.
2nd - this is a something good to consider for Scratch 2.0. As you point out, it would be important to have a way to flag this. The other issue is that we'd have to ensure that it doesn't get used to share personal info - contact stuff like email, phone numbers, etc. This is for internet safety reasons. Maybe we could write a parser that would check for that sort of thing, and ask Scratchers to remove it if it finds it.
Alternatively, we could have a this area filled by a Scratch project chosen by the account owner that does the same sort of thing. What do you all think?
Would that work as well, or would it be better to just stick with text and links to projects?

Thanks for the approval!
I like your idea with choosing your scratch projects to be displayed, but I think text and links would be better and more useful.

I usually don't click on links unless somebody explains where they lead to first
