For the Scratch Team!!!

What's happening?

OK, the first thing I want to say is that nothing here is meant to be offensive. So lets clear this up: I love scratch, the website, the configuration, the logo, the slogan, and even block color.

What's being updated?

Are you currently working on 1.5 or 2.0?

What updates are coming to the website?

Are you leaving Java behind for Flash?

With these questions asked, I want to answer one:

Whats the best website, community, and even programming language around?

SCRATCH!!!

TeeHee!!!

They're working in 2.0, which most probably will be programmed in Flash.

neutral  NOT TRUE. Seriously, Flash is one of the fastest things around.
Plus, staying in Squeak would mean that Scratch would still be stuck with Java, which ultimately means that it's slower.

Spam.
Back on topic, Flash is no doubt faster (and better) than Java.

Re: For the Scratch Team!!!

Only real reason that they are going to be switching to flash is because they are trying to make a "cloud" scratch in which you can program online without having to download the program. I would not have a problem due too fast internet, but I hope they could support many internet speeds, for those with slower internet.
