I end up winning 59 to 1, in just about 30 seconds!
This is my actual robot so far, for the competition, with no cheating of any sort. My robot, has complex code, which I am not giving away. I am also not cheating to track where the enemy is. I have a special method which calculates where the enemy is. As for the test robot, it points a random direction, and moves 10 steps in that direction 10 times, while firing straight projectiles at me.
My best record is winning 145-1
Enjoy

Lol, it looks like you have no guided mssile system yet though.
I do.

cool robot
My site Offline
You should see mine against Lucario's AI test opponent.
W/o following bullets the other robot doesn't even get a scratch and with following my robot wins anyway.
I test with banned blocks on the enemy.
As for the robot lucario was testing with, I need to improve some mechanisms to get a better score. (still don't have any bullet dodging lol)

Very entertaining video! I look forward to seeing more matches
It reminds me of Battlebots - one of my favorite TV shows, while it was on.

I liked that show too, even though I only watched one episode

Wait a sec -
Does your robot ever move more than 10 steps? I see it teleport when dodging bullets...

?
My robot shoots guided projectiles. Just I guess you don't notice them....
The green and black robot is mine, keep that in mind. The grey one doesn't do guided projectiles.

It never moves more than 10 steps. In fact, just to be sure, so I don't somehow randomly get disqualified during the official matches, I made it move only 9 steps at max
There is a bit of lag in the video just keep that in mind.
Actually though, I tested things a bit, and I think you're right. But I've been testing it with the tiny fix, and it doesn't make much difference.

I'll post the scripts for both test robots - they're both very short scripts. (They use banned blocks, but that's ok just for the simplicity of CPU scripts, and testing). Let me just upload photos and stuff.. just wait a sec.

Random Moving Robot (in my vid)
*Note: This robot does NOT use guided projectiles.
Now let me get the other one...

Somewhat Smart Robot (in RHY's vid)
*Note: This robot DOES use guided projectiles.

For both of these, of course, just use normal projectile scripts, moving at 12 steps (or 11) and regenerating as fast as they can, with a max of 45 frames, and being guided or not guided depending on what I told you to do.

Cool!I can't wait to see the brawl between all the other scratchers robots!By the way, will you release the scripts after the competition though?

Okay.I'm interested in this sort of stuff, but I didn't participate. My idea was to have a rectangular sensor spin around to see where the enemy was,and once the sensor touched the enemy then the robot would point in that direction(via variable)and shoot, while if the sensor touched a bullet then the sensor would check which direction was clear and move the sprite there. The bullet would also have a sensor that would rotate to see where the enemy was and rotate accordingly depending on the direction of the sensor. What's your opinion on that technique?
