You should leave links for your projects everywhere. Add your projects to lots of different galleries. They're my tips!

thats actually one thing that i said NOT to do. it gets people annoyed and then your project could get reported. And usually people don't even follow the links.

I found a fairly good way to get a project popular. Politely ask one of your friends to look at your project, and when they do, reply. Another good way is to post good, nice comments about a project, even if it is horrible. Then, the person who made it might be interested enough to click on your name, and see all of your projects. Of course, the best way of all is just to make good, quality projects that people will find fun or interesting.

I agree to the opinions above, and in addition a "related projects"-list next to the "more projects from this user"-list at the right bottom of the project screen could also be helpful. *hint for the admins*
I mean have a look at youtube, for example. You can spend hours just surfing trough it by clicking from one related clip to another. The Scratch Website misses this feature and therefore its always a bit uneasy to surf through it as you only have direct links to other projects from the same user.
Well, just my opinion, i might be right or wrong, thats what i miss on this website.

Yeah, I think that is a great idea Morrogh. I remeber doing that on youtube and it worked like a charm. Maybe they could implement it by putting the project with the closest amount of tags that are the same. That might easy for the admins to use. Hope this helps.
One of my tips is to make a great looking project. Look at the project with the most amount of love its. It looks like a great flash game because it has great graphics. It is a simple game that has the best hands down graphics on this site. That is why it is so popular. I see a ton of great games out there but they could be better if people spent some more time on the graphic qualitys.

I guess I'm sort of semi-famous. Not really, but I think that people know who I am. I post on the forums a lot, which I guess helps and makes people look a bit at my projects. I may not be as popular as Archmage/Paddle2See but I'm still okay.

Wow, that is the true meaning of being a Scratcher, and for the most part, I'd agree. But I consider myself really good (I consider), and when I work hard on a game, I want it to pay off, like this one I'm making, it's actually taking more than 2 days! So far! Probably even more than 1 week! So I want people to see it, especailly because it's fun, many scripts, many variables, hard to undesrtand when downloaded.

Personally, I prefer easier-to-understand scripts...
At any rate, can you wait 'till monday for the music?

I don't need music, I found some already (I will give thanks to the site, don't worry)

Music is good to make people like it but it also creates alot of lag in the game. I usually use it anyway though.

Listen, it doesnt matter if you have popular projects or not. It only matters if you have good projects. If you have good projects then nothing else matters. But if you really want your projects to be popular, you have to get your projects featured. You have to make a project that is totally original and takes you a long time to make. If it gets featured then people will look at it and it will get to Top Viewed or Top Loved or Top Downloaded. But just listen to me, it really doesnt matter. check out my projects, they are not increadably good, but they are good enough for me.

i know, these are just tips to people. a lot of people are quitting because they don't get enough views. that shouldn't happen.

But it is excellent! It's amazing! And neither has my "Target Shooter Demo" game... not too many for the time it's been on.
