My First Flash Program
Created with the Flex SDK, with raw AS3 code.

(sorry, now you can't connect, Verizon blocked all ports except 4567, which I believe is needed for my router to function properly)
I WILL UPLOAD TO MAIN GERSHMER.NET SITE SOON, OR PAY VERIZON A TON OF MONEY FOR THEM TO OPEN ANOTHER PORT

That was my first evar AS coded applet. I used the tutorials on newgrounds to understand variables and movement then made it from there.

ahem. misspelled name.
But yes, I did.
Flex is so annoying.
So many AS3 tutorials assume you have Flash CS3 or CS4, so you can drag and drop objects that are prescripted.

Since you don't have Abobe flash you can try flixel http://flixel.org/
There are lots of good resources on the site
