The BIG problem- Rude People On Scratch

Come on, haven't you received rude comments from people in the past, e.g. veeeeeeeeery boring. Have you been called names like "freak" and "hypocrite." What features could be added to the website to help this?

Re: The BIG problem- Rude People On Scratch

There are a number of features already on the website to address issues like this.  You can flag thier comments or projects.  You can report bad formum postings.  If they continue with the rude behavior you can use the Contact Us button at the bottom of every page to report them to the Scratch Team which will take appropriate action.

What further features do you think would help us address this issue?

I agree with Paddle2see, except for one thing. People can add stuff to gallerys to make fun of projects, and if they have it set so only the creator can add projects, you can't remove your projects. Also, you can't flag gallerys

Actully, 1, you can remove your project from ANY gallery, whether the gallery owner makes it so only he can add or not, 2, to report a gallery, copy the URL, click contact us at the bottom of the page, and paste the link to the gallery onto the message to scratch and say why it should be reported.

When you flag a comment it doesn't do ANYTHING. it just puts a flag next to the comment. At least in my experience.

Here's a little clarification on the FLAGGING process:

Scratch Administrators are notified whenever a project is flagged so that we can review it and remove any content that we feel is inappropriate.  Though we can't promise we will review and remove it instantly, we make great effort to review ALL flagged content to ensure our users feel safe online.  In addition, if several users flag a single project, it will automatically be removed.

In addition, if you have suggestions on how we might better improve this situation, we are open to your feedback and are working on new features.

Hope this helps!  Keep on flagging!
