Fuzzy Paint - An Innovative Paint Project

...with a pretty stupid name, I admit.

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/155466

Fuzzy Paint has some features that you might enjoy playing with or including in your own project such as:

1.  A very flexible Burst Brush paintbrush that can draw textures like grass, hair, tree branches, and so on.

2. The ability to store up to five brush settings (including color, shade, pen width, and pattern settings) while you are working.  So if you decide to do a little more work on that bird wing area, you don't have to remember what color and pen size you used, just click on the store/retrieve button.

3. Some very compact slider controls that have the slider label right on the base of the control.  A transparent slider handle is used so you can read the label under it.

Enjoy!

My nickname is Courtsi, like what ballerinas do, but anyway... Cool project. I saw it a while ago. Tried to love-it, but wouldn't let me. Now I try again!

Thanks Toasty!  I'm glad you like it.  If you have any suggestions for improvements I'd love to hear them.  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

I just wish there were some easier way to save the pictures you make in it.  Right now, the best way I can think of is to run it in Scratch and when you are done with your picture, stop the project with the Red Flag.  Then, right-click on the stage and take a picture of the stage, saving it to an image file.  Next, bring the image file into a paint program like Paint.Net and crop the picture to remove the Fuzzy Paint tools from the bottom of the image.

I have like a million nicknames; guy with the brown sweater, yogurt freak, banana face, yogurt with bAnAnAs, banana face yogurt freak whose password is juxtapose whose real name is ****** (I don't want to reveal that), double cheeseburger, certificate man, Crumbman., Potato freak, etc.

About the paint thing: Awesome! It is without a doubt the best paint program I've ever seen!

You should add premade images like in your sun of a string art  project. Great Job though.

That's an interesting idea...kind of a built-in gallery, maybe with brush settings overlayed so it could act as a tutorial too.  I'll have to give that some thought....how to work it into the controls could be a problem.

Yes, it would!  Without color variables it would be incredibly slow though.  I did consider it.  Actually, what I really want is a "Mix" tool that would look at adjacent pixels and blend the colors.  But any pixel-level manipulation of colors is going to have to wait for a function that returns the color and shade of a desired pixel.  And I suspect we are not going to be happy with the speed.
