Sound sizes grow WAY larger after export.

I exported a sound that was 2175 KB. but when i put it in another project, It's size had been changed to... (Drum roll please):

8701 KB!!

Any reason why? Just wondering.

Re: Sound sizes grow WAY larger after export.

There's something about sounds that scratch doesn't like. I've noticed sound files tend to get much larger when you import them.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: Sound sizes grow WAY larger after export.

Hey i know why it happens when scratch runs a sound its converted in a compressed format but when it exports it it becomes .wav and wave sound is too huge . U can fix the problem by clicking edit > > compress sounds  > > normal it will convert it to 2187kb size  smile
