there needs to be a if not this sprite hide block
There is no point of making a <this sprite [Sprite dropdown]> block. Just put hide in if it's not the sprite you don't want.

it would be easier then people wouldn't be intimidated by large scripts if they were new + if there were a lot of sprites then that would be very hard

kk I have an Idea, first of all I have a problem W/ the internet connectivity: My computer is'nt connected to the internet (this is my mom's computer that I'm using now), but what if you could download 4 versions of scratch:
Windows With Internet connectivity blocks
Windows without them
Mac with them
Mac without them
Also there should be an extra tab called "Videos" and a block that says "PLAY VIDEO ______" and STOP VIDEO _________
consider it!

i would like a create a block section, not using squeak, you could create a block, set its inputs and outputs determine its type, color and function and add it to your blocks. That way developers wouldnt have to keep updating each block, they could just send out new functions for the block builder
They have that: ask for the BYOB download.

That would improve scrolling... but there's a danger that some users would lose their sprites.

folders for organizing your sprites and scripts within the project itself
For sprites, it has been suggested a lot before (http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=40301, http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=29141), but I'm not sure how it would work for scripts...

Agreed. I can't even make my bot move around. It just falls over, and the gears and other parts fly off as the robot's face hits the floor

-A wider set of percussion sounds (in the help text, it says pick a drum from 35 to 81, but the actual limits are wider than that)

So then why can't you just put in numbers outside of the 35-81 range right now?

URL block! It would make OSes much better! Something like:
When WebBrowser clicked
Switch to costume WebBrowser
Ask, "What site would you like to go to?"
Go to URL <answer>

My ideas:
Support of MPEG4 music files
ability to put "bones" in your sprites. this would make animation easier. instead of re-drawing the same sprite over and over again, you draw one and then but bones in it. then, when you copy it you can simply move the bones to the next pose you want the sprite in.

Does MP4 even exist? It's not very widespread if it does... Are you talking about M4A, maybe?

That's a great idea, and I think it was suggested previously... I just think it would take a lot of effort from the Scratch Team to make something a little bit specific, don't you think?
