I hate how people are now saying,"Scratch isn't good anymore,""I'm gonna quit because there is so much fighting," and "Scratch like, used to be WAAAAY bettah." What happened? If you claim you are a hardworking, dedicated Scratcher, why should you get bothered by a few trolls?
Scratch isn't gonna fix itself, we need to take part. Complaining and quitting doesn't help. Here's some stuff you can do to still have fun and do your jo.
1. If there's some drama club, just ignore it and don't get involved. Wasting your time rambling about how you hate that stuff makes you sound more like a dramatic fanatic.
2. If people are trolling you put them on your ignore list or report them. If you keep telling them to stop, that will fuel them more.
3. If you feel uncomfortable, take a little break from Scratch, tell a friend or the Scratch team, or make a new account. You can still have fun on Scratch.
Remember, if you hate drama and quitting, you shouldn't be doing it yourself.

Try telling that to the hundreds of thousands of little kids who get angry just because some people get thousands of views while they only get 20. XD

That's true. My projects are good but I don't get thousand's of views. But i'm mature enough to deal with it. Unlike the many thousands of rampaging kids! Lol.

A book with a loose translation of the internet drama around here would be awesome though. Chapter #666 - The Reign of Ace Of Spades!!!!

She was just telling people how to avoid drama. They are good suggestions.

I'd like to see one week without a single thread having a single reference to the front page. But because of people who hate the front page, (which I do too, but I don't make a fuss over it), there are threads like these.

She made no reference to the front page, just to the trolls and how to deal with them.

Big difference... (Not)

So how would trolls relate to a frontpage of excellent projects made by archmage, m44, and RHY?

Some Trolls possess abnormally large Djelos Glands, which cause them to be over envious of good projects and is sometimes the fuel and spark for their flame breath. But Trolls are unable to breathe fire unless they are well fed. Also the 60 second rule Goblin does his best to slow down rampaging trolls, but I guess his cave domains don't reach out beyond the Forumlands.

I think littletonkslover is right, and just to end this madness, I'm dedicating my tiny attention span to a biiiig project that is top secret (besides the fact that I've mentioned it before), to inspire others to start making their best projects too!

Be warey. Lots of tagger imps gather at big projects. Recently there have been imp battallions formed by an evil Waffle minded Tagger Imp and they are much more organized than when the imp hunters were here. Also Tagger Imps attract trolls like crazy. They're delicious snacks to them.

Whiny kids with negative feelings will develop into Trolls if they're not treated right away. It's a type of disease that's somewhat genetic, but can be transferred from other Trolls. When you try to fight Troll's flames, a threatened troll releases endorphyns which make you susceptible to becoming a troll through metamorphesis.

Isn't a troll someone intentionally annoys people, not someone who posts stuff others find annoying?
Anyway, I don't know how much time there is left for the site to change. The site is covered in attention seekers who threaten to quit just because they're not popular, or for other reasons no one cares about.

It's never too late to change. Germany, for example. Hitler terrorized it, gave it a bad name. Now it's a happy sausage loving country ^^
And Lucario, I didn't have the front page in mind at all when I made this.

Me either XD
But if they bug people........they amuse me.

This is just my opinion but scratch did used to be better. The issue I think is that the user base changed from people who liked using the program to develop projects with interesting scripts to a user base that uses scratch for social purposes. The e-drama comes with the focus on social projects.

Hey, like I said, there's time to change.

There may be time to change but I don't think a forum thread will fix things. I think the scratch website needs to be reworked to more of less hide social projects (clan, contest, vote) and put focus on well developed programs and animations. Providing more learning resources would be nice too.
