To program.
After joining and staying for a while sharing was included.

Firstly, because I was bored and wanted to make simple little programs that I could share.
I stayed mostly because of the forums.

None of the above (which, I guess, after seeing how Ace-of-Spades answered E, I guess my choice would be F).
I joined because my programming professor was using Scratch as a visual learning aid when teaching C++, and we were encouraged to join and download Scratch projects off the Scratch website to learn how each individual projects work.
I originally stayed because I was in a position where I wasn't sure if my schedule would allow me to take a class such as Game Design or Programming II, so inactivating my account was rather risky should I manage to take one of those classes and the professor decide to use Scratch again as a visual tool.
I fully then stayed because of A and C, equally. Now after learning Flash and C++, choice C seems to be the bigger reason as to why I'm staying. The Scratch Forum and community are usually more friendly than most I've encountered.

I joined because i wanted to learn hw to make games, i found it at a public prototyping event run by Abertey Universety (Which i plan to go to when i leave school, its the best in britian for learning how to make video games) And it just clicked for me, it was so simple and easy to do, granted i was terriable back then, but you learn and get better. So its just so easy and its free aswell!
(BTW, this is an A)

I see what you are trying to prove jon but the people who do chat will look down ("if you answered..." IN BOLD
)
Anyway as for the survey, I vote A.
I'm not very good at scratch but I enjoy it

I joined because of many reasons:
- I discovered Scratch in an ICT lesson over 8 months ago, and thought my brother would like it as much as I did, so I was looking for a place to download it to show him. I then found out that I could share projects online, so I signed up to see what other people thought about my work, so I could improve it.
- A few of my friends joined Scratch, and I wanted to be able to view their projects, and help them to improve theirs
- I got the idea of Scratch within 10 minutes of being introduced to it, and had programmed my first game in less than half an hour (it was a pretty addictive (yet glitchy) game, too - one of my classmates admits to having it on his USB, to play when bored). So I had to help others in my class. After our Scratch lessons ended, I thought it would be fun to try helping others around the world, the same way I had in class.
- I wanted to see what was possible with Scratch. Sure, before I joined up, I got the idea of 75% of the blocks, but I thought that the limit was using the arrow keys to chase a sprite, and that Variables were only used for scoring. Looking at others' projects taught me so much from this
That's all I can think of at the moment, but I suppose my main reason was that I wanted to be the best I could be at Scratch. Plus I found it really fun.

None of the above. My teacher signed me up (my "prairie" account) for a school project.
But then I realized how fun it all was, and created my new account for...

That would be G - All of the above besides E and F, or H - All of the above besides G.

Actually, at the period of 09 I joined, people were making some funny and quality projects. I joined to give feedback, and to share my projects.
Closest is A.

Both A and B, in a way. I want to program, duh, but I also like to communicate with my friends via the website.

A, because I was so amased that kids actually made all these amazing games and works of art ('hint' 'hint' art haters)
