Is There A Best Scratcher?

ok so yes millions of people have scratch archmage is good but i think he likes chalkmarrow though which is weird but i dont know if zelda123 is better then dingdong cause dingdong was the first person to introduce split screen and millions of people have gotten front page and seemed to be undiscovered like dolfus555 his projects blow me aaway seriously then there is the people who work hard to make a cool adventure game and no one checks them out so yeh is there?

Re: Is There A Best Scratcher?

Well, it's a very opinionated question, so I'd say that if Scratch had only one type of person, one family or something, then yes, but since that isn't the case then NO.

Re: Is There A Best Scratcher?

There is no defenite best scratcher, it is an opinion. If you asked people, a lot of them might say tannerfbi, that is their opinion. Personally I think canthiar is the best scratcher, and tannerfbi isn't very good because his scripts aren't complecated at all. Most of his games I could program.

Anyone could program tanner-FBI's games. Half the people on the scratch community can do ten million times better (not saying that I am included). He only got famous... somehow.... (I wonder how?)

Re: Is There A Best Scratcher?

Cube world got featured for a simple but fun gameplay and people started to play it. Since they enjoyed it they put a love on it and the rest is history. I admit, the original cubeworld was fun.

No-one's is the best, but Paddle2See and Jens are really good, but, then again, they are adults, and know a lot more than us kids!

Re: Is There A Best Scratcher?

I nominate archmage. And yes, my own scripts are simple but who cares? The ideas are what counts.

And yes, I think Tanner-FBI was a fluke. I mean, a cube? Surely you can find a player more graphical than a cube.

Re: Is There A Best Scratcher?

Not every who uses scratch has the same level of experience as others. People like paddle2see and canthair who have had a job programming will be able to create much more complex projects then those who have no past experience in programming.

Re: Is There A Best Scratcher?

There are so many different things you can do with Scratch that it would be impossible to find the "best Scratcher".

Plus, how do you define "best"? Best at what?

Perhaps Scratch is more like art, some people like abstract paintings others like cubist, yet others like sculpture! Is one better than the other? It depends :-)

Re: Is There A Best Scratcher?

I agree with andresmh, besides people develope and improve, if you look at experienced peoples projects and challenge yourself i think most people could surprise themselves with how good they could become. thats the fantastic thing about scratch, if your not the best you can easily learn and improve.
and just out of interest why is everyone picking on cube world?

but he was the first one to come up with the multi-keyboard thing, so you can have a 4-player game and it will be easy to play, just by using 4 keyboards. and Flaming Trout will be the first one to make a game with the multi-keyboard thing.

anyways, that was kind of off-topic. why do you want to know the best scratcher anyways?
