the story of the atom bomb
Warning:this story is so random only one could have made it+you may laugh so hard you run out of air= 
Once upon a time... In egypt... there were two epic patty cakers, they could patty cake so hard an energy ball would appear, then one messed up 
... BOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! the first ever atom bomb went off. the government was amazed at the power of the blast and decided to harness the power, they got more and more epic patty cakers and put them in capsules, soon the government developed shrink ray tech, used it on the patty cakers and made smaller atom bombs, now the tech is gone, because the patty cakers have a way of getting the energy into the bombs without setting them off.
this is 100% garenteed not my story

Okay.
How It Works:
Useing a small amount of uranium 238 is split into two other elements by shooting it with an electron. When it splits, 3 more electrons split off the original atom, creating more reactions. This starts a chain reaction, which happens throughout the entire blob of uranium. Each of these fisions gives off alot of energy, therefor creating the bomb.

Atomic bombs are either Plutonium or Uranium, depending on the bomb.

Critical mass = BOOOOOM!!
But how do we keep something stable until BOOOOOM!! needed?
I know, how about we separate the mass into two then we blow them into each other.
