Looks like my statement may be true! I see nobody else who posted something about Darren Shan?

Eh, his ideas were good, but he isn't that great of an author. Too many exclamation marks and stuff.

The Mysterious Benidict Society:
This trilogy is addicting and is fun to read. It is about a team of 4 children trying to stop a smart villain.
The Hunger Games:
So Good. That is all I will say.
You just made my day.

Okay, I'll post a few of my favorite books here as I could go on for days. . .
Dune:
By Frank Herbert
One of the greatest sci-fi books of all times. I thoroughly enjoyed it and find myself desperately wanting to re-read it now.
Ender's Game:
Another great sci-fi series. I also like the sequel Speaker for the Dead although I didn't like Xenocide or Children of the Mind as much (Note: I never finished Children of the Mind)
Wheel of TIme:
One of the greatest fantasy series of all time. Although the later books can be drags at time and RJ could consider being more concise
Belgeriad:
Essentially the WoT in a different setting with slightly different characters on a smaller scale.
Any of Jules Verne's works:
(esp. Mysterious Island)
. . .
I could keep going, but I'm too lazy.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was also wonderful, but really sad.
I was supposed to read that for History once, but it was so boring, I couldn't read the first chapter.
That was such a good book. It was a little boring at times, bt had a lot of meaning. I reccomend you try reading it again.

Stargirl is one of the best books I have ever read.
Catching Fire... Meh. Did not live up to my expectations after reading The Hunger Games, but thinking back it was still amazing. I am looking forward to the last in the series. any idea on when it will come out?

You're forgetting Crash, That book is way more holarious and better than nooby Stargirl.
They are by the same author, but seriously, the sequel to Stargirl is an uber long love note. I mean WHY?

Catching Fire is not as good as the Hunger Games to me.

XD Forgot crash. I remember poor Webb.

I liked Stargirl, but I never got around to reading Love, Stargirl. Is it good at all?

It's really hard for me to pick a favorite... I like a lot of books. Although, I will recommend The Giver and its sequels, Gathering Blue and The Messenger, all by Lois Lowry. Also, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is really good. If I listed all of my favorite books you'd get bored.

It seems like you have read my mind. The first 3 are all great books. I am re-reading WoT from the begining, and am currently on Book 7. I like the fact that he isn't concise. Makes it so I can't plow through the series in a week.
Is Belgeriad that good? I haven't found many good Fantasy series lately, and I have been wanting to. Whats the authors name?

Yeah. Gathering Blue has nothing to do with Gabriel and Jonas, it's about a disabled girl. Jonas and Gabriel are mentioned again in the Messenger, 7 years later.

Then I'll be reading the Messenger.
