It hit the capital of Chile, but I don't know where Santiago is.Santiago is the capital of Chile. At least close to it anyway.
I was wondering since technoguyx lives near Santiago. He does!?!

I think the Haiti Earthquake was 7.0 and this is 8.8
But the haiti earthquake was so bad because of how bad off they were from the start. As far as I know, chili isn't nearly as bad as Haiti, so the damage etc won't be as bad

I don't think it was very big. Like a few feet.
I think it was like 9 feet or something. But not 20 or anything extreme.
If even 9 feet.

My mom told my Chile gets a lot of earthquakes so they have stronger buildings. And they don't have as many people living in the area. In Haiti, their buildings were weaker and it was in an area where tons of people lived.

Fixed.

Well any Chilen (Whatever it is) scratchers aren't safe...
It's "Chilean".
And right now I'm safe, don't worry.
Some weak buildings were damaged/destroyed, and the lights were out in the whole city for about a day. Later in this day the water system stopped working too, right now it isn't fixed yet.

Does anyone know what it is like to stand on an earthquake?

I've rode 9 feet waves (not surf, you can't surf on the Jersey Shore)

We had an earthquake over here in Kentucky when I was in third grade. Slept right through it.

I've slept through an earthquake before in Thailand. But my mom woke up.

I followed my parents to the living room. You'd think going outside would have been safer, but the earthquake stopped by then.

\How narrow minded, to only save Scratchers.
Metaphorically, i meant everyone. Would this be seen by anyone else besides scratcheres anyway? -_-
