I saw that one too. The only problem is, if you add it you can't upload.

And I have no idea how to get rid of it.

Use the compiler Jens released, it might work that way.

touching morphs is no big deal, you can mess around with squeak as much as you like on your computer - just don't save changes and you can reload scratch to set everything back as it was

Try middle clicking on it.
Does a set of round 'pins' come up?
This is called the halo.
If it doesn't, go to world>open>workspace.
Type

Code:

Preferences enableProgrammerFacilities.

Then, highlight it and click press ALT+D.
Now you'll have a halo for sure.

Now continue as follows:
Keep middle-clicking on the offending morph until it is selected by itself.
Now, just click the X.

Play around with the halo, though. There are a lot of 'treasures' in here.

Well, I do have experience with Squeak.
I've never actually looked at a tutorial for it, so all I really have is 'functional' knowledge.

Re: Scratch morphs?

Wow, the only morph I've ever used is mesh... Can someone show me a list of GOOD, SAFE morphs that won't slow up my computer? I've used other programs before (C++, Sharepoint, and Visual Basic).

Sharepoint is an MS office program which allows you to create virtual network drives, as well as use hosted ones. You can find more info on it here: http://sharepoint.microsoft.com/Pages/Default.aspx

They are all pretty safe.
However, I'll give you some generalisations:
• Basic is boring, but foolproof.
• Demo is pretty good.
• Movie is hard to get working, but also very harmless.
• Sound interface is fun.
• Tetris... well, you know about tetris.
• Text support and widgets are kinda boring, but also harmless.
Basically, the whole add a morph menu is fine.
From the world menu:
The open menu, all of the save commands, and the previous/jump to project commands are the ones that may give you grief.
Appearance is fun to play with, but proceed with caution.
Overall, though, my advice would be to just play around with it. As I said, I've never looked at a tutorial, I learned all I do now from playing around.

Re: Scratch morphs?

Like integrated into scratch directly?
That is really too advanced for me to explain here...

My Scratch/Squeak is not happy with tetris... it fills up half the screen and is way too spread out. On the general topic, I prefer to make my own methods/morphs (for example a Scratch block that allows you to show a dialog with text)
