Woo. Cheddargirl's advice worked.
Here's something I drew a week ago. Not exactly the best quality, but then again I didn't use any of the filters on the camera. I'll fix it up later in PhotoShop.

Well so did I. But wanted to make sure that it wasn't a Cheetah/Kangaroo mix. Lol.

I meant to put, "It supposed to go like this," on that post you replied to.

Then it will be my turn! Did you fix the petting glitch, or just get rid of petting?

Done in black pen.
Hey, that's pretty good. It looks like you drew this with a regular black pen - have you thought about drawing using a nib and India Ink? It's a good skill to learn.

Oh yeah Cheddar your advice worked. My drawing is on the top of the page. As you can see I didn't use any filters or white balances on my digital camera but that's OK for now.

That picture made me ROFL. How long did it take?

The entire art period. 40 minutes or less.
And why/how exactly did you ROFL? Is it bad? Or are you ROFLing at the irony?

Both. Just saying, I didn't think it would take that long to draw. I draw stuff like that in 15 min.
I draw mostly in math.

Well I'm not exactly sure myself, seeing how I usually chat away with my friends during Art instead of actually working. I said the entire period as a place holder because I didn't know the exact time.

M'kay, just putting it out there. When I'm in art, I usually am pretty focused on working, unless I'm questioning the rating of a horror movie some boys are talking about.

That a pretty awesome cheetah. To be honest, I actually like the fact that there is some shadow on the top, it kind of gives the art some texture feel.

Okay, everything it is then.
The first thing I notice when looking at this is that you seem to be overusing the smudge tool too much or you're stroking the blur tool too many times over a certain area - it's sometimes hard to tell where the greenery ends and the snow begins. I have a feeling that you were trying to make the image not too pixelated and stiff, but you overdid it. Just stick with the blur tool - stroke a couple of times with the greenery and perhaps only once with the edges of the tree trunk.
Second thing I notice is minimal shading. Looking at your image, it seems that the light source is directly above - there should be some shading on the snow, especially underneath the tree and a small part underneath the bushes.
Third thing is that the cloud looks... strange. Clouds do have shading, so that's one thing you need to fix. The shape of the clouds also bother me - I guess it's because the shape seems so... uniform. Try different shapes and seeing the result.
It's hard to go beyond this point because I have no idea what art program you're using to make this. If your image program has different brushes, try playing around with them for different effects and shapes.
