Earthquake in Chile

There was a big earthquake in Chile.
8.8!
Now there is a big tsunami warning in Hawaii!

Santiago is the capital of Chile. At least close to it anyway.

My mom was once in a huge earthquake in Mexico, age 15. She grew up with earthquakes, doncha' know. But still......this many natural distasters in one sitting.

People build cities in awful places.

The edges of the tectonic plates are where the 'quakes are most common.

I thought that 2010 was going to be a year of change, but the continental plates are "changing" to fast! I hope north america is safe, no, i hope the  scratchers of the world are safe form such natural disasters! This is really scary!
