Hey, I'm (relatively) new! I've got a few projects done, (though I haven't succesfully submitted any). Anyway, I'm too lazy to learn a new programming language so I think I'm gonna stick around and try to make decent sized games for a while =P

Hey! I just tried to upload one of my projects, but due to its complexity, it was seriously screwed up when I played it here online. What should I do? Its pretty cool, but it's almost embarrasing how slow it moves. Some of the controls don't even work- most likely because the're key commands given outside play. I need some help here.

Welcome new scratch members!
At first when I was knew, I had no clue what to do. Here's what you do:

1. Download Scratch 1.4 (it's on the homepage, can't miss it)
2. Wait forever for it to download (if you have Mozilla Firefox, it should download quickly)
3. Get a project idea (don't worry, I have plenty)

Ok, so once that's done, you're ready for your first project! At first, try making an animation. If you'd like to make a game then look at someone's project, like mine for instance, it's called Gravity. Look at the scripts and make a game! Warning: just because I suggested you look at Gravity doesn't mean you can copy it. Well, not exactly at least.
