well thats just a little different.... that is normal. But if you want your username and password to be save your browser should ask you if you want to save the password; if you click 'yes' it saves the login data.
The-Whiz is talking about being logged out when/before he shut down.

I have a cure! Kind of...But it only works on Windows, unless you can do that with Macs too. I dunno, but it may also depend on settings and browser. I'm using Internet Explorer 7.
1. Open IE(or any browser if this works)
2. Go to whatever site you need opened.
3. If tabs are needed, or will be used - Go to the page you'll use on the tab
4. If you go on the site alot - Like me(I usually have 3 tabs ALWAYS opened, but not homepage tabs etc.) Then add it to favourites.
5. Don't go on THAT much? It'll now be in your history, so search it on the Windows button at the corner(on your screen).
6. If it's a favourite, it'll be alot easier to find the page. If it's using your history, then it may be harder.
7. Arrange tabs and such.
8. Really go on them EVERYDAY? Then if your browser, has homepage tabs - Add those sites. I reccommend having a news site like Yahoo! up there too, so you know what's happening
I HOPE THIS HELPS! I've been using this method for awhile after the glitch started happening.

Id describe Google Chrome as speed over quality, a friend of mine likes it because its very fast. But thats because of all its accelerators which use up memory space. So im currently using Mozzila firefox, faster but not as good quality as IE8.

I've had endless trouble with being logged out for the past several days. And it happens when I use IE8, *and* when I use Firefox. I had to log in again just to write this comment, because when I clicked on "post reply" Scratch logged me OUT. When I try to go to messages I receive, I get logged OUT. When I try to erase a message after I've read it, I get logged OUT. ____Fortunately, I use RoboForm to administer my passwords, so just two mouse clicks and I'm back in. But something is definitely wrong at the Scratch website. I purposely went to other websites, went from page to page and back again....and never got logged out. But every time I try to do something at Scratch I get logged OUT. If I click to retrieve a message: the server announces it's "scratching its head" because it can't find any messages for someone who only an instant ago it logged OUT. I'm certainly glad that other people are having the same problem. Otherwise I might start changing settings that have worked fine for years.....
What version of Firefox an IE8 do you have? What operating system and version? Have you applied any updates or service packs? What version of Java do you have? What toolbars and extensions do you have? What about your internet connection?
Ummm... Andres? IE8 is version 8 of IE.

I got suddenly logged out while trying to figure out the color effect lag problem. However I logged back in quickly afterward. It hasn't done that again to me yet.

It's getting worse for me, almost every day I have to log back in (I never log out). I don't know if someone is eating my browser's cookies, or there is a glitch in the version of Google Chrome that I'm using (Which is Chrome 5 Dev).

Try a different browser, I moved to Firefox because it was getting really bad, or make the website trusted on your browser, if thats possible.

It is trusted, and I haven't used FireFox lately. I'll try it now.
