Save Engine

This is just too complicated for me to solve, I need a save engine  and I do not want to duplicate everything and put them as When I Recieve BLAH's and one button that's the loader that, when clicked, broadcasts BLAH, making the built in save button the save button. I need one that works on my game... bah! Just look at my projects for RPG! Download it, and edit however need be, with the Save/Load buttons, for it to work. Thanks in advance.

Re: Save Engine

Cholo,

It sounds like you're trying to save the state of the game like in Zelda or Final Fantasy or other role playing games. The only way I know of to do this in Scratch right now is to open the project in Scratch.exe on your computer and when you're playing click "save" or  better yet "save as" in the buttons on the top. I don't know of any way to make your save and load projects work within your project so that when you go to sleep at night and, say, turn off your computer, and then wake up in the morning and turn it back on the you'll be able to load the game back up. In other words, I don't think it's possible to make the save and load buttons in your project work on the website.

But, we're working on making that possible some day.
