"Almost the same for the DS because sometimes Calibration isn't always perfect and the files on Scratch would be almost impossible to hold on the DS"
You can always recalibrate it. And what do you mean it would be impossible to hold? In the very rare case that they made an official app, you can use the DSi's SD card slot. Also, almost all flash carts (ds carts that run homebrew applications) have sd card slots anyway.
"an ipod application seems more realistic at this point."
"But it still seems very unrealistic."
Yeah, I'd have to agree. Scratch would be terrible on a normal iPod and it's impossible on a shuffle. iPod Touch is a good idea, but the screen is too small.
"It might be nice... but no, it will never happen. For one thing, how would scratch fit on the DS's tiny screens? And also, scratch will never have the money to release scratch on Nintendo DS! I do wish scratch was famous though!"
You could scroll. Again, I think an official Scratch app for the DS would be neraly impossible. It would have to be made by a Scratch fan who is good at C or C++ and knows how to make hacked DS homebrew software. The problem with that is since it's not official, it would probably be so buggy that it would be just pointless. So, sadly, I doubt there will ever be a DS or Wii version.

First the Wii, then iphone and itouch, and now DS. Who started this?
There is one reason why Scratch can't be made for these four things. They can't get Java! And until they can't get Java, they can't get Scratch.
Anyway, think about the blocks! The <when key pressed> and <mouse down> blocks wouldn't work!
You know, this the third or fourth time I've explained this to the various things...

It would be great, and 1.4 would work well on the DSI (which i sadly dont have) because of the camera and web cam = almost the same thing if not the same thing.
So i would give it a big thumbs up, but you would need internet Acces to upload it.
Maybe a seperate section of scratch Scratch.mit.edu/DS? possible? for the DS made games?

if only it had a memory card and internet acess. Then you could download it!

why would scratch be better for Wii. The wii isn't portable so if you do it on a wii at home you might as well do it on the computer, but scratch on the DS is good because the DS is portable more portable than a laptop just not as powerful.

A solution for the money issue: Sell the DS version of scratch! what do you think?
Offline
Would the Scratch Team sell Scratch? Can you picture Scratch being sold in a shop!? It's pathetic! No way would they do that...
I have seen Scratch suggested for the Xbox, Playstation, Playstation Portable, iPhone, iTouch, Nintendo DS, Wii, and possibly more. Read this: Why Scratch won't be made for Xbox, PSP, PSP Portable, Wii, DS, etc...

See that Nintendo does NOT have java, so it can't be done.

Your like "We can't make them for these things. It's impossible." Then after they found a way your like "Why should we? I'm not doing anything to support Scratch's Growth" Then now you're not even giving his idea a chance

I cant believe how many people are still saying it wouldnt fit!
Scratch is only what 50 MB tops... FFXII RW is 112 MB and that fits just fine on a DS card :p
Just have a downloadable app to put onto an SD for DSi or onto an R4 (They are perfectly legal if loaded with freeware/shareware/homebrew)
Or Homebrew it on the wii
