I believe projects are added to a "featured" gallery, so there's no point.

There isn't a gallery where the featured projects go accually. I've been featured and I didn't get a message of being added to a featured gallery. I think it's a good idea because the only way you could tell would be to look on the front page.
Good suggestion!

Most of the time, somebody will leave a comment such as "Congratulation! You're Featured" ! or "Top Loved!" but I agree it would be nice if the system sent you something too...just in case nobody did

Maybe there could be a notification for other things like being selected by a curator?

But you'll see yourself on the frontpage anyway.
Unless you skip straight to the forums... but in that case the user probably doesn't make any projects.

Yeah... If you want to find me, look on TBG. Flag RPG is empty

So...?
Interesting, but like other people said above, you'd know straightaway.

But you would get lots of comments anyway...
And a notification could get buried. When I got featured, I got 67 messages - I deleted them all at once, rather than reading them through and deleting them individually. That way I would have missed my notification - but I knew anyway.

Featured, Top Loved, Top Viewed, Top Remixed, all should send notifications.
Thats what i meant! on the top loved and top viewed ones you don't always notice coz they go right to the bottom sometimes

BUT there's a problem.
Featured is the main priority section (if you're eligible for more than one front page section including featured that's not friend's, you will be featured). So would you get a notice about top viewed if you got 1000 views from a 1 day old project that's featured? Same with top loved. And then what about when you have more than one project that can be front paged?

Yes (unless there's a restriction that doesn't let featured projects go to top viewed - not sure).

You get both messages, unless there's a restriction like I said above.

Only one project by a person can be on the front page at the same time, so there is a restriction.

Why did you delete them all at once without reading them? That's a bit mean...

Only one project by a person can be on the front page at the same time, so there is a restriction.
Then you get the notification for whatever you get first. Simple.

Offline
Bu you were told anyway

not before it was off. i take screenshots of my accomplishments on the homepage.
i didn't get a notification and didn't notice my project was curated until i saw that one thing was getting alot of attention.

That's a good idea.

Then popular people will get 1 to 3 messages for each project they upload?

Going off the one time I had a project featured.. If you're a Scratcher that doesn't get many messages, then logging in to find an inbox of 60-70+ overnight should be enough to let you know your project is on the front page.. It would still be interesting to have a feature like that though.
