don't take this negitively, it's just that Scratch is starting to fall apart, people are quitting all of the time, more religious forums starting to cause war between the Jews, Christians, and Atheists, people are posting projects saying they are defintiely quitting, for all we know RHY374547 could be planning to quit
. so click the link here http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/DarkMark3/898502
there are ways to prevent quitting and this is one of those ways
if scratch can't be fixed then people will quit, and if some quit their friends quit and then again and again until scratch is dead, I am against quitting
Scratch on!

This belongs in show and tell.
The religious /political issues have been solved. If someone wants to quit, that's their decision. You can't force them to stay. That's it, I'm quitting now. (jk)

Banning quitting is like banning posting. Won't and can't happen. You can't ban the user that quits, because they quit.
Just something for you to think about:
In a overall happiness graph, we are:

no not banning quitting, just saying that people like RHY374547, if they quit Scratch could turn into chaos. like dreamcaster he quit and scratch started falling apart, and maybe if someone makes a project, forum, forum post, comment, or gallery it could be deleted by the scratch team

some of the religious problems have been solved, although some are still rising, and I am not saying quitting should be banned, anything quitting related should be deleted, so that people don't quit as often, like when dreamcaster quit, lots of scratchers started quitting

I think the real problem is that people care to much about the social aspect of scratch and not the project making aspect. That is just my opinion though.

I've considered moving on from scratch to game maker, yes.

Agreed. Not to mention that every project I come out with seems to lag unbearably before I can release it.

Well, you have to expect that when you try to do something you would normally do on a full language in scratch the end result won't be perfect. If you don't scale things down obviously it will lag too much. If you want to get better you should learn a real language like Java (really good starter language). If you want to make money the market for flash games is pretty good at the moment.

Yeah - I'm starting to learn flash. Soon it'll be able to compile into iPhone apps.

A whole mess of things wrong with that reply. Religious topics are not rising. They are illegal now. They'll be locked instantly. There's no more problems with them.
I never said they should be banned. Where did you get that? I said you can't force people to stay. Dream Caster quitting was a blessing in disguise (though the facts are he probably got permanently banned, and didn't quit). Many users quit with him? That's great. They were Role playing followers. Scratch doesn't need them. Sorry if I sound harsh, but it's the truth.

True. Very true. Still, people who create amazing projects but never get them to the front page needs to be heard. I don't think they even use the fourm.

There is only one solution for this:
We make every single quitter do a collab project or threaten to use their IP addresses to fire a nuke. (not the horses, axemen, rams and catapults one, the atomic weapon used by golems)
(the scratch equivalent to locking them all in a room).

Good to know
I think we should do this:
NOTHING
Just sit back relax wait until a couple more people move from game maker to here or something. Maybe an awesome scratcher will figure out how to use the fourms. You know. Thaat sort of stuff.
