[blocks]Don't you think that it's REALLY annoying when you're starting a new project and that cat pops up? You have to waste your time editing (or deleting) that cat?

The Scratch Cat is the mascot for Scratch. And I don't find the cat a bother whenever I start a new project - actually, I feel like it 'greets' me whenever I start up the Scratch program and see it.

Yeah, I would be fine with no default sprite. But I think scratch has a cat mascot is because cats are known to scratch things.

um i think the scratch cat has a function with the default image like making the sprite workspace in memory or something similar like test (unfamiliar with main source) so it is there cause each version of scratch and even modifications has sprites Default.

You can change it. Did you bother to read the README.txt file
Customizing the default sprite
You can replace the default cat sprite with a sprite of your own. You default sprite can include multiple costumes, sounds, and even scripts. To set this up, just create your sprite and export it. (To export, right-click on the sprite and choose "export this sprite."). Then rename it "default.sprite" and place it in the Costumes folder.

You waste, what, 5-10 seconds right-clicking and deleting him. Not that much.

I believe there is no way to get rid if it before hand. You can change it though. Export the sprite you want then save it as "default.sprite" in the costumes folder

You can just use the cat and change the costumes (unless you're not making a project with sprites).
Besides, it's only 1 second of work.

Its actualy quite helpful if your wanting to do some work work a sprite or something to set it as your default, so you dont have to go and find it.

How do I work work a sprite?
You would just load it.
Oh yeah, that gives me another idea. Make a blank scratch project and save it as scratch. Chuck that on your desktop or somewhere so you start with a blank page.

I do think the Scratch Cat just appearing on my project is slightly annoying; but He has this smirk, and he just torments you with it.
