My Dumb, Boring, (yet short) Rant
STOP QUITTING PEOPLE! SERIOUSLY! THIS ISN'T FUNNY! QUIT POSTING ART PROJECTS AND REMIX CHAINS! POST ANIMATIONS AND GAMES! Ok, seriously. I'm going to name all the annoying things I can remember from scratch.
Cat projects, hamster projects, art projects, remixing chains, un-deserving love-its, un-deserving front page titles in general, quitters, pr0nz, click the button games, petitions, and other stuff.

just a random idea that popped into my head, if someone has the time they could do this
create a website where you must get permission from the admin to join (via E-mail). only scratchers who make GAMES can join, pretty much a filtered version of the scratch community allowing only gamers in, though of course there two issues as usual
-getting enough members (typical)
-managing the website (eventually even moderators will get tired off the website and leave, but others will join)

Scratch is a tool - and a tool can be used many different ways. There are many different kinds of people that use Scratch and enjoy it. Their interests are not always going to line up with your interests. My advice - just look at the things that DO interest you 
We try to insure that a good mix of projects makes it to the front page - and we've made many tweaks to the system to try and improve the selection. Do you have any specific recommendations - other than excluding projects that don't interest you?

How about if you have the front page where people can chose whether to show the most loved animations/art/games ect (By the tags). Wow all that thought up in 5 seconds *Makes his way to the suggestion fourm.*

Well, the thing is, there are hardly any games made now. That's the problem. I would be fine with these if there were more games on the site. What ever happened to things like Super Smash Bros. Ball? Or Space War 4 by Illusionist?
