Yes it does.
Every time I open the Scratch website, there always are at least 2 pointless chain projects on the front page. "Add yourself doing headbang". Yeah. ON THE WALL. Maybe this will make your brains finally start up.
I never was actually complaining about this stuff, but seriously, how far will this go? It's not just a fad that comes and goes, it's kind of old and resident. Evil. (geddit? Resident Evil...? Because there was one of them: "Add yourself as a zombie".)
I don't want to insult anyone, but seriously guys, this is going too far.

You're going too far! Sit in the corner and think about what you have done!
I kinda agree though. It's just kids though they don't want to spend 3 days on a project (I'm 12 and i'm doing my best to). So the first thing that drifts into their mind is a 10 minute project of drawing a sprite and saying "tag along".
Would it be better if scratch made a "hide newst projects" button. You wouldn't even see it that way

Maybe I should make a chain project... yes, that's brilliant.

What do you mean by "kids"? *sharpens sword*
Although yeah, it's really annoying to see endless remix chains. Top remixed is pretty useless, all you see are remix chains.

I think most people are under 16 including me.
In my opinion everyone younger than 12 is a kid.

I don't mean to say this, but... Who's really immature here?
Also, why do people keep posting these chains? Do you know?

The people who post these chains are normally people that aren't very good at much...

*Dreads for a mod to step in and probably ban me because of my failness.*
I always fail when I comment at something like this. Oh well.
Scratch is for ki... children filo. Don't expect people to act like twenty year old programmers. If you want that sort of environment, go to newsgrounds.
I made A point which wasn't very clear (Too busy moaning about goats.)

There was a thread in the old I&M where we were making up "Add yourself ____" projects, like Add yourself jumping off a cliff, and add yourself hacking the White House website.
Really? I never saw that... Was it moved or something?

Again with stereotypes -.-

Did you know I'm the same age as illusionist (about)?

Again with the weird borders saying that I want to post again but cannot due to the fact that it would be a double post!

Double posting is not disallowed on this forum.

Or discouraged, but posting 10000 times in a row can annoy people.

I already am there. And I know Scratch is for kids/children/whatever you call us. But age doesn't equal maturity. There are many adults who kill people on roads because they like to speed up.

Let's just go back to the main topic, shall we?

Why must the stickmans fight each other?

Please ease up with the swords and stuff. It's ok to express opinions about the front page (it can be useful feedback). But remember: tone is important. So keep it cool and respectful please.

Yet you have shared over 100 projects...are you saying you got no value from that experience? I can understand where somebody might outgrown Scratch - it certainly has it's limitations - but to say you hate it seems a bit ungrateful.

I look at it as a form of speed art. It lets people participate in a shared online activity with low barriers to entry. They learn the basics of Scratch...sprites, costumes, sharing, maybe a little scripting...and they have fun doing it. I think they are useful as a stepping stone to more ambitious projects. It's important to show them on the Front Page so that more beginners are attracted to Scratch and give it a try

But he hasn't made a project in 7 months too... I guess he's outgrown it.

So... This filter of yours doesn't allow you to say "hate"? Too bad. Imagine this limitation on newgrounds.
Anyway, I posted a criticizing comment (not the flame war kind, just scientific criticism). Someone replied that... Memes are the greatest thing on Scratch.
More precisely, this comment:
Ignoring you for criticizing one of the best things on Scratch, Memes.
As an ever-sarcastic being, I'd say: good luck.
