I got some cool looking lander sprites but the problem is every time I clear the white background to make it a sprite it somehow gets these white chunks around it
Is there any way to solve this?

Did you save it as a jpg or gif or something? Save it as a .PNG next time. It's too late to save the sprites now, probably.

just use patience and zoom in and use the microscopic size eraser to erase the white dots

I did save it as a PNG
It did that as PNG and BMP

Maybe it's your scratch. Sometimes it uploads the pictures as jpgs for some reason. The scratch program at my school did this all the time.

Your sprite probably had AA. Use some image editing software to sharpen, or just erase the lines.

If its just normal white what i do is colour everything white(w. paint can) then colour evertything see through with paint can. : D
