Scratch for iPhone - really this time!

I just created the first REAL Scratch for iPhone mockup. Here's a video:

Due to a bug in my code, I have to exit and re-enter the app to get out of the search box. Otherwise I really like what I have.

Interesting, but I don't really know what it shows.

At least you try to contribute  smile  .

I think you could run a Squeak VM and Scratch on top of it...

Hmm - how does coding for iPhone OS work anyways? I want to get started with it.

I have an idea on actually how to do it. Since Abe_LIFE knows the sdk like I do. I am going to say it. You could use action sheets and then have it show a list of things to add, then you click on the type of script like control and then it shows another action sheet with they types of control scripts and then you click on one and it inserts it.

Good idea. I'll try that. Thanks.
I'm thinking that it should have a portrait mode, and a landscape mode. The landscape mode should have 2 columns, so that you can tap and hold on a block in the left (blocks) column, and drag it to the right (scripts) column.
The stage would appear if you swiped to the left.
You could move sprites the same way as blocks, and import a sprite from your photo library, or draw a new sprite. You could also create a sprite in an app such as Brushes, and export it to your library, then import it into Scratch. There should be a block that displays an iPhone alert box, and a Push Notifications block. An accelerometer reporter would also be nice.

EDIT: realized that the accelerometer and push blocks should be availble with a $1.99 in-app purchase. Next up: make an icon  smile

No. There is a free SDK, you just can't publish your app, only can run in the simulator.
