I've been making a game with an advanced sound system - and I was thinking about ofsetting the speaker balance of a sound (eg. More towards the Left/Right speaker etc) to create a feeling of surround sound for my game. The sound blocks are very limited on scratch and this would probably be one of the more basic ones, following "Play sound () starting at time ()s"
Basically, If you set the pan amount to -100 100% of the sound is played on the left speaker and 0% on the right and vice versa, balancing out at 0.
What do you all think?

Definitely support, I'm thinking about a stick arena game.

This and support for stereo sound files should be in 2.0.
They don't even have stereo sound?

No. Scratch makes it mono.

Yeah, that's why some panning effects in my music are removed D:

I support!
It doesn't feel like a Scratch block, though...

That's a cool idea, but I really want Scratch to support stereo sound. It just kinda surprised me when I discovered that it doesn't.
EDIT: ooh, people mentioned stereo sound here as well! :-D Hooray!

This and stereo sound are needed.
Plus Scratch not changing everything to wav format to take up more space. D:<

There's something else about sounds that was bothering me.
The Piano needs a variable set (like you can set the Instrument number depending on 'x' position for example). I was trying to see which instrument plays a certain song the best, and it was annoying to have to keep clicking the dropdown bar and selecting the next instruments manually.

Variables work with Instruments.
Just drag the rounded variable block into either the instrument or note pitch box.

Yeah like 10 minutes after I posted, I saw the front page Design Studio Projevcts, and I realized you could do it.
Can the volume go higher than 100%?

No.

I'm guessing this is also not possible, but can it go into negative percentages?

I wonder what negative sound would sound like.
Would it act as a sound black hole?

Hmm - I wonder if Scratch 2.0 will support stereo sound.

When I first heard stereo sound from 1 speaker, it freaked me out.

Okay then, I'm not sure what stereo sound is now.
I mean that thing where it's one speaker, but it sounds like it's coming from the left and the right at some points. Creepy.
